CALMONT SCHOOL AT COTTONTAIL RANCH
GREENOVATION INITIATIVE
Calmont is a nonprofit, nondenominational school for girls and boys in preschool through 9th grades. It has operated for the last 31 years on a leased 22-acre site in Topanga, California. Our move to Cottontail Ranch in June 2008 gives us the unique opportunity to apply our longstanding principles of environmental stewardship to every aspect of our new campus, including materials, energy generation, waste handling, water conservation, landscaping and organic food gardening. Calmont will promote carpooling, the use of green cleaning products and pest control, biodegradable or reusable tableware and classroom materials, recycling and composting. Sustainability principles and issues will be woven throughout the academic curriculum, and the children will be active in the greenovation process, the caretaking of the campus and organic gardening. We will invite participation by the larger community in our outdoor education and stewardship programs.
We enthusiastically encourage you to donate your company's product to our Greenovation Project at Cottontail and thereby become an official Calmont School Greenovation Partner.

- The positive community exposure and goodwill generated by your participation cannot be over-emphasized. We draw our families from the communities of Topanga, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, West Hills, Hidden Hills, Malibu Lake, Westlake Village and Agoura.
