Calmont is a
private school on the
Westside of Los Angeles, California enrolling students in middle,
elementary, and preschool.
Accredited by CAIS (
California Association of Independent Schools),
it is located on a secure Topanga Canyon campus of 22 beautiful,
oak-shaded acres in the Santa Monica Mountains and shares facilities with Cali-Camp.
The
dynamic curriculum focuses on developing strong reading, writing,
math and critical thinking skills and is enhanced by specialist programs
in science, Spanish,
environmental science, computer, art, music, library
and physical education.
The
admissions process requires a
campus visit, transcripts, recommendations,
placement test and, for middle school students, the ISEE (
Independent School Entrance Examination).
As part of our mission as a
private school in the Los Angeles metropolitan area,
Calmont seeks an economically diverse student body and
offers financial aid
in preschool through 8th grade.
Transportation is available by private school
bus from the West San Fernando Valley, Malibu, Santa Monica, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.
